About the event
This month we'll be joined by DJ ANUKNOCKA, all the way from the groovy and swanky city of San Francisco!
A California native born proud and true, the multidisciplinary artist known as DJ ANUKNOCKA(AH-NEW-KNOCK-UH) began his music career in San Diego circa 2003. With a foundation built on wax, digging in local record shops and catering to the underground party scene, hiphop blended with house and jungle was a trademark of his unique sound. Fast forward through the next 20 years his love for music launched him into music production where he crafted a unique sound reminiscent of house music and funky drum & bass grooves catching the ears of many in the LA warehouse scene. Touching down in the Bay Area mid-lockdown both reignited his passion for digging and refined his selection, developing it into an eclectic blend of house, minimal, techno and breaks. The Bay Area has proved to be the missing link needed in propelling this lover of music, creative blends and intentional event production to the next level.
To warm up the rooftop, Son of Solomon will be making his return debut on the Reno scene.Son of Solomon, also known as Blake Elam, is a dynamic force that has recently returned to the local underground dance music community. Blake’s sets are known for that cutting edge sound that blends intricate beats with immersive soundscapes. As a single father, he balances his passion for music with the challenges and joys of parenthood, bringing a unique perspective to his artistry. Hailing from Reno, Nevada, Son of Solomon also draws great inspiration from his unique experiences at the vibrant and eclectic atmosphere at Burning man, to which he feels a deep connection. Beyond the decks, Blake is an avid snowboarder and mountain biker, embodying a spirit of adventure that mirrors his approach to music. Whether crafting atmospheric mixes or commanding the dance floor, Son of Solomon’s performances are a reflection of his creative spirit and diverse interests, making him a standout artist on the Reno scene.
To celebrate her birthday, upcoming local DJ babe HB joins us to share her sweet and sultry groove.
And don't forget Chuck Tyler, closing the rooftop party with some dreamy, dramatic, and delicious dance music.
